01E | Security Officer Core Subject
The entry level core subject course for Security Officers (01E) is an introduction to the field of private security. To become registered as a Security Officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, an individual must successfully complete the entry-level core subject course for security officers.
Entry Level Fire Arms (75E)
Handgun Entry-level Training (75E) is required for all Private Security Services personnel who carry or have access to a firearm while on duty. A Firearms Endorsement is required to work in any Private Security Services personnel category with access to a firearm, handgun, shotgun, or advanced handgun.
Armed Security officer Arrest Authority (05E)
(05E) is Arrest Authority, Policies, and Procedures for Armed Security Officers in Virginia. This session concentrates on the source and limitations of arrest authority, specific responsibilities and procedures for placing a person under arrest.
Handgun Re-Training (07R)
(07R) is Firearms Annual Retraining/Re qualification and is required for all Private Security Services personnel who carry or have access to a firearm while on duty.
